About Spiaggia del Maroccone
Spiaggia del Maroccone is a beach located in Tuscany, Italy, near the Arenile del Cantuccio beach, which is 1,006 meters away. It is 161 meters from the nearest bus stop and has four paid parking options within 500 meters.
The Maroccone Beach is a moderately sized cove located at the mouth of the Maroccone stream, in the municipality of Livorno, in the extreme northernmost parts of the Romito. Formed on the basis of a bench from the Upper Pleistocene, the beach is composed of sedimentary rock, especially at the ends. Characteristic is the so-called Scoglione, a rocky formation three meters long and no more than one and a half meters wide that rises from the seabed 50 meters from the shore.
Today, the Maroccone Beach has become an equipped bathing area, the Marina del Boccale Park, which allows both vacationing in the free area (to the north) and in the equipped area (to the south).
